Our Rules and Regulations

Revised October 2005


General Rules

1. Membership year is January 1 through December 31.

2. Guests are welcome but at no time shall they be without supervision of the club member.

3. Dues apply to famly & children that are legal tax deductions. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

4. * Absolutely NO HUNTING on club property. Our club is a game preserve.

5. Vehicles are to be contained to gravel area or designated parking areas.

6. Except during approved competition events, LOCK THE GATE WHEN YOU ENTER OR LEAVE THE PROPERTY.

7. Due to the construction of our roads, please avoid spinning or sliding your tires. SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH ON ALL ROADS.

8. When work on a range is underway, that particular area is to be considered closed.

9. * NO ALCOHOL OR INTOXICATING DRUGS allowed on club property.

10. Absolutely no littering of any kind.

11. If anyone is guilty of rules violations it shall be the duty of anyone witnessing the violation to report the violation to the Board of Directors.

12. * NO RIDING OF ATVs or DIRT BIKES on club property without express consent of the Board of Directors or during construction, renovation of ranges, or during a match and then only on gravel roads.

13. There is to be NO REMOVAL OF ANY NATIVE PLANTS, FLORAL, OR DISTURBING ANY ANIMAL HABITAT without the express written consent of the Board of Directors. Anyone caught disturbing, harvesting, or picking of any of the above will be subject to loss of membership and prosecution.


Range Rules

1. Paper targets only on rifle ranges, except those other targets as may be provided by the club.

2. * Solid ball ammo on rifle range. No shotgun shooting allowed except on pattern board.

3. * When not in firing exercise, ALL firearms will be unloaded and handled in a safe manner.

4. * There will be NO handling of firearms while anyone is down range.

5. All shooting shall be at the target directly in front of your position. At no time can we have cross shooting. Respect the rights of your fellow shooters.

6. * DO NOT put targets on target board support posts of framework.

7. Observe a 30 minute time limit on shooting benches if someone is waiting to use them.

8. Unless checking targets, always stay behind the firing line. Do not check targets while anyone is firing.

9. * Metal silhouette targets are to be used at designated distances. Do not move these, as this can be very dangerous and expensive to repair.

10. Make sure that your bullet trajectory will result in the bullet impacting the designated backstop area.

11. * Absolutely NO RIFLES of ANY CALIBER OR SHOTGUN on Action Pistol Ranges.


Archery Rules

1. Do not backtrack. Travel only in the way the course is laid out.

2. Make certain that anyone ahead of you is at least 2 targets ahead before you shoot.

3. Absolutely NO BROADHEADS OR CROSSBOWS on the range. Use the practice pit only for these.

The property East of the club property belongs to Pounding Mill Quarry. KEEP OFF THIS PROPERTY. During work hours, 6 days a week, watch for quarry personnel on our property. They have permission to come on to our property. Also when they set off heavy charges of explosives, our property is in the danger zone from falling rock.

Violation of any rule indicated by asterisk (*) could result in loss of your membership, AND/OR PROSECUTION.
